A quick explanation: This is the first video I’ve made. I used iMovie, because I am fortunate + smart enough to have a Mac. The photos I took at my grandparents place, just before both of them died suddenly, only five weeks apart. Most of them are in a former post, if you care to read about those horrible months. Their favorite song was Amazing Grace, which was fitting for their undying dedication to our God + Savior. It was the last song played at both of their funerals just before the formal ceremony started. The music is three tracks of myself playing cello: one on the melody line, one on bowed root of chord, and one with double stop pizzicato.
This month would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. I got the idea to make this movie as a present for my mom and got the opportunity to do it when I had to take a day off to get a skin biopsy for cancer testing.
There is no coincidence in any of this. And I’d like to thank Apple for making it so easy to do.
Wow Carrie, that’s really powerful, thank you for sharing it.
Love, Marie
I got it to work….very moving. I’m sure your Mom loved it.
