9:53am
Now that’s what I call a good night’s sleep. And it was even on a futon. Good laughs + Sam Summer = Carrie Sleep Long Time.

10:20am
Body actually emerges from depths of futon.

12:35pm
Is brunch still brunch if eaten totally at lunch time?
We are all being lazy and watching the Olympics, playing cards, having no agenda.

4:28pm
Ok, sad good-bye to my short stay in Boston. Absolutely gorgeous day. I’ve driven out of Boston this way before so I should be set.

4:59pm
LOL oops. Forgot I had directions for a stop on the journey that I cut right before I left. It was a short and easy to retrace detour! Back on the road in the correct direction now.

5:23pm
Surprised at ease of drive to suburban/groomed Easton, MA. The college campus I’m snooping is spotless and even has its own pond. Quiet and affluent community, small strip malls and nice houses everywhere. It even smells like trees and honeysuckle here. Is this a movie set?

6:29pm
Snooping done… just got a panini for dinner… I feel like I should have passed the camground sign. Better fill up gas tank while I’m at it…

7:36pm
Ok, I give up. No more shlepping around. Called a friend to give me Google map directions. Really going to find campground now.

7:51pm
AAaaackckckca;dkljf;a WTF why is the sign so small?? At least my total of 45 minutes of wandering was a beautiful drive. Finally arrive at campground and get a site. Just used my Discover card to get gas, and now it doesnt work for the campground. Give them my debit/Visa. That works.

Darness is quickly falling. Arrive at nice tent site with no immediate neighbors, on a little pond with a fountain next to pine forest. Smell is wonderful. I think I’m in the right space.. whatever, no one else will check in this late. Tent up in record time for darkness. My rain fly is still soaked from Cape Cod, I only dried my tent on the balcony in Boston, so I just threw my handy zip-shut blanket on top of my tent for privacy.

I hear ducks.

Sandwich consumed teamster sub style (hint: 30 Rock). I even handily pop the cap of a bottle of beer on the edge of my table’s seat. That is also gone in no time.

Again I will gladly pay 25 cents to clean my body.

10-something pm

Fall asleep reading, the best way to go…
